How can we get cheap dental care?

I am the tyro ancillary myself in New York. we am really singular financially as well as we need to get dental work finished (mostly cosmetic. we never had braces in tall school, though we should have). we do not have any insurance. Is there cheap dental insurance available? or a little approach of removing large discounts?
