How do we get Travel/Health Insurance in Vancouver upon the operative Visa?

I am relocating from Australia to Vancouver in August, patently we will have my normal transport insurance, though given we will be in vancouver for 2 years upon the operative visa – we would be seeking during removing something alot cheaper than transport insurance. What would be the most appropriate choice for me? we suspicion about only removing transport insurance for the initial month or 2, afterwards once we am staid down demeanour for the cheaper option. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
