Travel & Medical Insurance for International Students travelling to USA (short-term basis)?

I will be off to USA for a short course which lasts about 3 months. I am teenager from Asia and at present do not have any travel/ medical insurance plans.

Cheapest independent method to get a Life Insurance License in San Diego?

Do you use a LOCAL or NATIONAL home owners insurance company?

My husband and I bought our house about 11 months ago. We’re going to do some insurance shopping next week (house & both cars together). We have a local company and although they were the cheapest we found last year, I’m not really comfortable with them.

Five days after we moved into our house, the mortgage company sent us a letter saying that our home owners insurance had been denied and that we had two weeks to find new insurance or face foreclosure. It ended up being a clerical error on behalf of our half-witted agent. BUT, that error almost got us kicked out of our house less than a week after we moved in! They never mailed us or called us to tell us about the situation. They have never provided any common customer service courtesy.

So, we’re looking at Allstate & State Farm in particular. I’m ok with paying a little extra to get better customer service. Do you use a local company or a big one? Do you like the company? Do you have any horror stories about Allstate or State Farm? Or are they both good?

Does anyone know if Pay As You Go car insurance is any good?

Please can anybody help me? I have recently bought a cheap car for £300.00 but have looked at insurance and to my suprise the cheapest so far is about £600.00 which i cannot afford. We have been wanting a car for a long time and its taken agrs for us to save up enough to buy the car and save enough for the tax and insurance ( which we thought would be as much as the car roughly)
So at the moment we have a xar we cant do anything with which is soul destroying as our 13 yr old son has been waiting very patiently for us to get it so we could take him on some lovely day trips in the summer holidays.
I cannot afford to pay anywhere near 600.00 so looked again and found Pay As You Go insurance but dont know if its a good option or not although we shouldnt really be doing more than about 50 miles a week on average.
Please help me to try and reslove this horrible situatuon so we can get back on the road after nearly 10 yrs of not drivng ( thats why the insurance is so high as i have no NCB that i can use as it needs to be current or at least no more than 2 yrs expired).
